The process of therapy is unique to each person. I see it as a relationship in which people learn about themselves through their relationship and exploration of themselves with me. My goal as your therapist is to bring my authentic self; weird, jovial, playful, and direct, to the relationship and to allow for your needs to be met. Through our interactions about difficult topics, laughter, and tears I believe that healing happens.
I am also a supervisor of interns in my marriage and family therapy clinic. My mission as a therapist, supervisor, and teacher is to help each new therapist hone their craft and to become the helpers in our community that can help clients strengthen relationships. In my belief that all things can be healed by relationships, I have chosen to create more access to marital and family therapy to build up those in our community who are struggling with their relationships with their partners, their friends, their children, their coworkers, or their parents.
As an adjunct professor in counselor education, I am passionate about my own learning, my interns learning, and even discussing learning and new ideas with my clients. Exploring how and why we think things work helps us understand how and why we behave the way we do.

My therapeutic skills lie in supporting families, couples, and individuals who long to authentically thrive in the world. I believe that emotions and meaningful connections are at the forefront of not only our painful struggles, but our greatest moments. My approach, whether you walk into my office as an individual or a family, is to see you as part of your larger social systems. Together we will explore how these social systems affect your inner world. Our goals can include transforming stuck, lonely and misunderstood feelings into feelings of freedom, connection, clarity and bravery. In our work together, I will use honest and direct feedback to help you reach your goals. I strive to provide an affirming space for all my clients that is trauma-informed and inclusive. You matter.

Aceppting new clients for our Salem office or telehealth
My clinical focus is couples, families, and individuals who want to thrive despite hardship. I specialize in trauma healing and integration, first responders, system-impacted children & families, eating disorders, and people in addiction recovery. We heal in relationships; be they family, friends, animals, nature, or with a higher power. Exploring those relationships, their impact on you, and how to navigate change will be part of our work together. Our relationship matters as well. I promise to be a direct, kind, humorous, and trustworthy companion who pays close attention to your physical and emotional health.
Prior to this career, I worked for two decades promoting healing in the criminal justice system. My experience includes work as a mindfulness facilitator, trauma-informed care trainer, a massage therapy degree focused on how we hold memory in our bodies, and a Masters of Divinity.
Within you is everything you need to live a great life. My job is to come alongside you, point out what you may have forgotten, and help that life unfold. I am currently accepting couples, individuals, children, and families interested in exploring their relationships with each other and within themselves.

Accepting new registered associates for supervision
I believe that creating an environment where you feel safe to share and explore your inner world, and where you feel heard and understood, is essential to our work. I love to help individual adults identify and remove obstacles from their personal fulfillment and growth.
My therapeutic philosophy revolves around viewing myself as a fellow traveler on your journey, rather than an all-knowing expert. Whether you’re navigating challenges in personal relationships, grief and loss, work-related stress, life transitions, low self-esteem, the emotional impacts of trauma, or the constellations of symptoms often labeled as “depression” or “anxiety,” I honor your individuality and tailor my person-centered approach to meet your unique needs.
I am also trained in the Flash Technique (FT), an evidence-based therapeutic approach designed to rapidly alleviate the distress associated with traumatic or otherwise disturbing memories. Unlike traditional trauma therapies, FT is minimally intrusive and does not require you to consciously relive or engage with the traumatic memory. This allows you to process memories with little to no emotional discomfort, promoting healing without overwhelming distress.
I offer supervision as a collaborative, growth-oriented relationship that meets you where you are and evolves with your development. Whether you’re building foundational skills, refining your clinical confidence, or stepping fully into your professional identity, I provide support, structure, and thoughtful challenge to support you along your path. Our work blends case consultation with experiential activities that build on your existing strengths, explore your clinical style, and refine your framework so your client interactions become increasingly intentional and aligned with your theoretical orientation. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable bringing doubts, ethical dilemmas, uncertainties, and the tougher parts of clinical work, while stretching and refining your skills.

I am a state-registered Professional Counselor Associate with the State of Oregon and hold a master’s degree in psychology.
For the last 18 years, I have
worked with a diverse population and believe in fostering a therapeutic environment of trust, respect, and acceptance while practicing with a holistic lens. I am trauma-informed, diversity-inclusive, and an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community. My competence to serve diverse populations is expanded by my multicultural background, fluency in Spanish language skills, and cultural awareness. I offer individual counseling, couples counseling, and family therapy.
My clinical focus is on supporting those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, and partner conflict. I serve a broad range of demographics from children to older adults, with a special focus on the BIPOC community.
I was inspired to get a degree in psychology after becoming the mother of two children with unique needs and limited abilities. Astounded by their resilience, strength, and ability to overcome what seemed like insurmountable odds, I have found deep compassion for individuals experiencing profound life challenges.
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but
people you will never forget the way you made them feel.”

As a first-generation Mexican-American, I deeply believe in the power of stories and how they
influence the way we navigate the world. Many of the narratives we carry weren’t even written
by us; they are stories inherited from our culture and family that can sometimes keep us
stuck. My goal is to offer you a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapeutic space
where we can explore the impact of these stories together. With curiosity and compassion, we
will work so that you can take back the pen of your life and begin writing new chapters that
reflect who you truly are and who you want to become.
In our sessions, my priority is for you to feel seen, heard, and understood in the language that
feels most like home—whether that is English, Spanish, or Spanglish. ️ I support adults,
teens, and families navigating challenges such as bicultural stress, immigration experiences,
and cultural expectations surrounding identity and gender roles. I also work with individuals
exploring complex family dynamics, relationship patterns, anxiety, depression, or major life
transitions. Whatever brings you here, we can work through it step by step; we are in this
together, un pasito a la vez. 👣

I love working with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating life’s challenges while longing for deeper connection, clarity, and a stronger sense of self. I believe that our emotions and relationships are at the core of our experiences, and that even in moments of conflict or disconnection, there is an opportunity for growth and understanding.
In our work together, we’ll gently explore the patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck—both within yourself and in your relationships—while creating space for the full range of your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult feelings, I aim to help you build a different relationship with them, so they feel more manageable and less overwhelming.
I also value helping clients reconnect with what truly matters to them. Together, we can identify the values, needs, and deeper emotions that often sit underneath conflict, and use those as a guide toward more meaningful choices, stronger communication, and more secure, fulfilling relationships.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I strive to create a space where you feel safe to be fully yourself—where we can slow things down, make sense of your experiences, and move toward a way of living and relating that feels more connected, intentional, and true to you.
